PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES (2021-2022 School Year)

1)  Topsfield Fair performances: These will be held on Saturday, October 2nd between 10:30AM-12PM on the Topsfield Fairgrounds. Performances are held indoors at the ECYF building. Students are welcome to perform a piece, or play a set for up to 5 minutes.

2)  Halloween Recital: 
Will be held sometime in late October either via zoom or in- person. Exact details TBD, depending on COVID related updates.


3)  Del Dotto Piano School Holiday Concert
: Will be held sometime in mid- December, either via zoom or in-person. Exact details TBD, depending on COVID related updates.


4)  
Del Dotto Piano School Original Composition Concert: Performance held in January, 2022 either via zoom or in-person. Exact dates/times/location TBD, depending on COVID related updates. Repertoire will include original compositions by students.

5)  Del Dotto Piano School Spring Recital: Performances held via zoom or in person in early June 2022. Exact dates/times/location TBD, depending on COVID related updates.

6)  MTNA Musical Achievement Evaluations (MAE) is a non-competitive program intended to provide an encouraging and safe atmosphere for students to gain constructive feedback on their performance. Dates: TBD.

     7) NorthShore Piano Teachers Guild Recitals:
- Sunday, November 21st 2021, Second Congregational Church, Conant Street,

Beverly, MA 01915
- Herrick House Outreach Concert: Saturday, January 22nd, 2022. 89 Herrick St,

Beverly, MA 01915
- March 2022 at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA. Exact times and dates TBD. Late intermediate to advanced only.
- Sunday, May 15th 2022, Second Congregational Church, Conant St. Beverly, MA 01915. Open to all ages and skill levels.

8) MTNA State Performance and Composition Competitions - Deadline to submit is September 15, 2021 by 3PM EST. The format this year is video submission.

9) NewEnglandPianoTeachers’AssociationRecitals/Competitions: - Halloween Piano Party: Grades K-6.
- Music for Hope: A Charitable Recital: Grades 7-12.
- Junior I Recitals: Grades K-4.

- Junior II Recitals: Grades 4-6.
- Intermediate I Recitals: Grades 6-8. Minimum of 3 years studied.
- Intermediate II Recitals: Grades 7-12. Minimum of 4 years studied.
- Composition Recital: Grades K-12. Solo or ensemble compositions welcome. - Jazz & Pop Recital: Grades K-12.
- 20/21st Century Recital: Grades K-12. Intermediate or advanced.
- Senior Recital: Grades 9-12. Minimum of 4 years studied.
- Duet/Ensemble Recital: Grades K-12. Intermediate or advanced.
- Adult Recital: 18 years or older. Intermediate or advanced players.
- Mildred Freiberg Middle School Competition: Grades 6-8.
- Ruth Davidson Competition: Grades 9-10.
- Alice Hamlet Competition: Grades 11-12.

10) ABRSM - http://us.abrsm.org/en/home Exams held in November-December and May-June in the Boston area. Comprehensive piano and/or music theory assessment examinations at all grade levels--recognized around the globe. The registration periods are between August 1st - 15th for Winter and January 1-15th for Spring. There is no audience. The fee depends on the student’s grade level. Due to COVID, there will be no winter exams in 2021.
11) MMTA Judged Festival - The purpose of the Judged Festival is to provide students of high school age and under at varying levels of playing a chance to perform and compete in a judged recital format. The Judged Festival will have rotating theme annually. Students will be required to play one piece from the required list corresponding to their age group. Performances are held some time in late winter/early Spring. Exact dates/times/location TBD.

12) MTNA E-Festival - This is an online evaluation only. The MTNA eFestival is open to everybody regardless of age, performance level or country of residence. There is no application deadline. Videos may be uploaded year-round. Videos are reviewed on a monthly basis. In most cases, you will receive comments via email 2–3 weeks after the video(s) are submitted. 

13) Bay State Piano Contest - Each contestant must have been a Massachusetts resident for six months or more and have studied with the teacher for a minimum of six months preceding the contest. A student will be assigned to a division based on her/his age on APRIL 1, 2021. There are 11 total divisions, ranging
from ages 6-18. The event will be held sometime in May, 2022.
